ABOUT JOHN DEL
GRANDE

For over 20 years, John has lived in Scarborough, and serves
the residents of Ward 7.
First elected in 2003 and re-elected in 2006, John has served
seven years as a
trustee on the Toronto Catholic District School Board, and has
chaired various prominent committees within the Board. He and
his family have been active politically, and through community
groups, over the years. John’s trustee position was previously
held by his father, Michael, for over 9 years, before being
elected as the area’s councillor for the City of Toronto.
Prior to the addition of city ward 24, TCDSB Ward 7 covered over 24,000 constituents, with
6,000 students in eighteen area schools.
During his tenure as a trustee, John was selected to serve

John also has over seven years
financial banking experience working for several large banks.
He has held roles in operations, fraud management and project
management with his
most recent position as a IT manager. John graduated from
Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm).
John proudly stands on his record of a demonstrated capability of
building relationships, resolving conflicts, facilitating
solutions and moving forward with ideas that reflect the
diverse needs of all people.
John is married to wife, Cheryl with one young daughter. |
